If you are dropping your child off or picking them up from school, please help us to ensure everyone's safety by following our established guidelines (see image below) for the Maple Ridge parking lot. It is critical that family vehicles stay out of the areas designated for school vehicles (buses and special needs vans).
The Importance of Being On Time
Families should be dropping students off between 7:40 and 7:55 am. Classes start promptly at 8:00 am and it is expected that students will arrive to class on time.
Showing up on time to secondary school school each day benefits students' academic performance and future professional habits. Students who arrive at school early have an advantage over classmates who stumble through the door after class has begun. Some of the advantages of showing up on time include:
having time to prepare for learning
being present for important information
developing positive lifetime habits/skills
Enabling your child to arrive late, by consistently dropping them off after 7:55 am, not only jeopardizes their success in class, but is disruptive to the learning of all of the other students. Please help us by pre-planning your morning so that your child arrives on time and ready to learn.
