On January 3, the Ontario government announced that all schools will move to remote learning beginning Wednesday, January 5 until at least Monday, January 17, 2022, to help suppress the spread of COVID-19.
All SCDSB students currently participating in in-person learning will receive and complete assigned coursework through the virtual learning platform established by their teacher (either Google Classroom or Desire2Learn [D2L]). Your child’s teacher will contact you with information regarding next steps, including access to learning materials and technology, should your child require it. Please note that transportation services will not be available during the remote learning period. Students currently enrolled in the Learn@Home program will continue to attend class virtually beginning January 5. Parents guardians of students in special education county classes will be contacted by their child’s teacher regarding programming options. |
